Breastfeeding and Coronavirus

Breastfeeding has many benefits for both the mother and the child what it gets. This is especially true for prematurely born children. It is not clear at this time whether the virus can be transmitted through breastfeeding. It is known that all kinds of immune substances are transferred via breastfeeding from mother to child. So if mother has an infection and develops antibodies, they also end up in breastfeeding and protect the baby again. So there is no reason to stop breastfeeding in the event of a (suspected) coronavirus infection.
